Dennis Homan played his high school football at Muscle Shoals High school and would be the first from the school team to be drafted into the NFL. He played for Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant at the University if Alabama and was an All American, All Academic All-American and twice all-SEC. Dennis played for five seasons with Dallas Cowboys and two seasons with the Kanas City Chiefs. He later played with the Birmingham Americans and Birmingham Vulcans of the World Footbal League. Dennis was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame as part of the class of 1999.

Coach Kines played collegiate football at Jacksonville State where he was a three year letterman 1963- 65. In 1972 he became a graduate assistant at his alma mater and became defensive coordinator and assistant head coach through 1976. Coach Kines coaching stops include jacksonville State, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida, Clemson, and texas A&M. Alabama’s 2005 defensive unit under Kines was ranked in the top nine nationally in all five major statistical categories only one of two units to make such a claim. In 2005 he was named one of the six finalist for the Broyles Award, an honor for the nations top assistant coach.

Bobby Humphreys is known as the University of Alabama’s 1980’s offensive player of the decade. He was the 1986 Sun Bowl MVP and the UPI’s 1987 Collegiate Offensive Player of the Year. He played for the Super Bowl bound Denver Bronco’s and Miami Dolphins as well as coaching in the Arena Football League.
